OverviewThe SeniorDevOps Engineer Network is a critical role responsible foroverseeing the network infrastructure and ensuring the successfulintegration of network operations with DevOps processes. Thisposition plays a key role in the design implementation andmaintenance of network solutions in alignment with theorganizations DevOpsobjectives.
Asa member of the Platform Engineering team you will be responsiblefor managing and supporting the infrastructure which drives ourplatform. The reliability and scalability of our technology is keyto our success and this position will work with our development andsecurity teams to help design highly available and fault tolerantsystems.
Inparticular you will be focused on monitoring and optimizing ournetwork performance to support the lowlatency high throughputoperation of our tradingexchange.
Keyresponsibilities
  • Continuously improvethe resiliency throughput and latency profiles of our tradingsystems by working handinhand with our trading technologyteams
  • Manage and support our AWS cloudinfrastructure EC2 instances andphysical
  • servers
  • Developmentand management of IaC to ensure consistency of ourinfrastructure
  • Ensuring security hardening ofour OS builds and configurations
  • Manage andmaintain config management tooling to ensureconsistency
  • Integration of our stack withKubernetes
  • Ensure SRE best practices for designand operation of the stack
  • Design implement andtest disaster recovery capabilities to ensure ourbusiness
  • can continue to operate in the eventof a technology failure
  • Participate in anoncall rota forescalations

Requiredqualifications
  • Theoretical andpractical networking knowledge incl. but not limited to unicast andmulticast routing protocols Linux kernel s TCP stack implementationcongestion avoidance/control (e.g. BBR) traffic control networksimulation AWS VPC / TGW & Kubernetes VPC CNI etc. DPDKexperience being a plus.
  • Professionalexperience with kernel troubleshooting: strace bpftrace perfprofiling/tracing navigating / reading / building the relevantkernel code.
  • Professional experience withuserland monitoring (e.g. Thanos/Prometheus/AlertManaging) logging(e.g. Splunk/Loki) alerting troubleshooting profiling/tracingetc.
  • Strong practical AWS knowledge with min. 5years of SRE / DevOps experience supporting and managing Linuxbased systems. Computer science or engineering degree preferredstrong understanding of fundamental Computer Science principles isrequired.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes / Ansible/ Chef and with one or more programming language: Python Golang CNodeJS.
