As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Intelligent Solutions team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

Works closely with the operations and technology team to develop low code solutions to automate processes and resolve application issues . Guides citizen developers and junior professional developers on solution design; Conduct Code reviews. Builds and maintain reusable components and data models. Configures integrations with external systems and APIs. Stays up-to-date on the latest Pega features and functionalities. Learns and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems Works with a COE Design Authority mindset to accelerate Low Code development in the firm ensuring standard governance standards

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Excellent communication skills and work as a team. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.  Proficient in Pega development with experience and working proficiency in Pega toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software using Pega version or Infinity. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Should be Pega Certified Senior System Architect .

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Familiarity with modern front-end technologies Exposure to cloud technologies Prior experience in the banking industry is a plus but not required. Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
