Asa Senior Technical Writer you will be part of a team of writersensuring the production of highquality technical manuals anddocumentation that meet industry standards. Your expertise in Arbortext Editor and Simplified Technical English (ASD STE100) alongwith your knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance practiceswill be crucial in thisrole.
RolesandResponsibilities:
Mentorand support a team of technical writers providing guidance andensuring adherence to professional and ethicalstandards.
Communicate effectivelywith customers to understand their requirements and address issuesin a timely and professionalmanner.
Interpret and analyzecustomer requirements guides and standards to ensure documentationaccuracy and compliance.
Plan andprioritize team activities to meet customer deliverycommitments.
Use Arbortext Editor tocreate and revise technical documents following SimplifiedTechnical English (ASDSTE100).
Analyze and interpretengineering drawings Service Bulletins (SB) CAD files assemblyinstructions and Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuratedocumentation.
Proactively identifypotential queries and engage with customers to clarify and resolveissues.
Create and revise impactedtasks/data modules ensuring technical manuals are accurate andcompliant.
Identify and requestnecessary illustrations/graphic modifications coordinating with theillustration team as needed.
Reviewand validate documentation to ensure compliance with industrystandards (ATA100 iSpec 2200 andS1000D).
Apply sound knowledge ofbasic aircraft systems and general aircraft maintenancepractices.
Utilize knowledge ofAircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) Component Maintenance Manuals(CMM) Engineering Standards Manuals (ESM) Service Bulletins (SB)and Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC) in documentationprocesses.
Requirements5years of experience in technical writing with a focus on theaerospace industry.
Good knowledge onAMM CMM ESM SB andIPC.
Provenleadership and mentoring skills with the ability to lead a teamprofessionally and ethically.
Strongcustomer communication skills with experience in handling issueseffectively andpromptly.
Proficiency in usingArbortext Editor and familiarity with Simplified Technical English(ASD STE100).
Ability to analyze andinterpret engineering documents anddata.
Experience in creating andrevising technical manuals ensuring accuracy andcompliance.
Knowledge of industrystandards (ATA100 iSpec 2200 S1000D) and basic aircraft systems andmaintenance practices.
Strongorganizational skills with the ability to plan prioritize andmanage multiple tasks.
Excellentattention to detail and problemsolvingabilities.
Soundknowledge on basic aircraft systems and general aircraftmaintenancepractices.
