About the Opportunity

DMI, LLCis seeking a Sr Software Engineer - Web

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work with developers across a team, creating backend APIs, and frontend UI to enhance user experiences and streamline workflows in the construction technology ecosystem. The work involves improving existing APIs, creating new APIs, rolling out a new security model, and creating scalable and resilient services, as well as setting standards and best practices. Duties include peer code review, debugging issues, root cause analysis, and creating solutions that prevent issues from re-occurring.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work as a member of an agile software development team. Participate in agile ceremonies and help facilitate good practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Hands on design and development of applications using technologies such as Primary Skills: JavaScript, , C#, .Net (ver. 8) Secondary Skills: SQL, DynamoDB, TypeScript Act as a technical leader across the team by promoting good architecture and design. Collaborate with analysts and the development team to estimate projects, features and user stories. Collaborate with other development teams, analysts, project managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and identify solutions. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:   

Looking for depth in Architectural experience with 7-10 years of work performance history. 

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:  

8 or more years of software engineering experience. 2 or more years of experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices to A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems (or related field), or 4 or more years of related experience. Experience in Web API, and overall Web Service. Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills meant to define requirements and drive towards tangible development tasks. Skilled at providing technical feedback/code reviews. Experience working with CI/CD, Jenkins, Git Strong unit testing skills Skilled with object-oriented and protocol-oriented design methodologies Strong experience with C#, and development. 

Preferred Experience:

AWS Certification(s). Experience analyzing existing code structures and improving application performance. Experience with Angular development preferred. Experience with monolithic .NET sites and API. Experience breaking monolithic API into scalable solutions. Experience with OpenAPI a plus Experience with Google Analytics/Firebase a plus
