Piping Layout Engineer

As a Piping Layout Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design and implementation of piping systems for various projects. You will utilize your expertise in AutoCAD and other relevant tools to create accurate and efficient piping layouts that meet project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Piping Design: Develop detailed piping layouts, isometric drawings, and other technical documentation using AutoCAD software.

  2. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and other engineers to understand project objectives, requirements, and specifications.

  3. Compliance: Ensure that piping designs adhere to applicable codes, standards, and regulations, such as ASME, ANSI, and API.

  4. Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize piping layouts for cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.

  5. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and checks of piping designs to maintain high quality and accuracy.

  6. Coordination: Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (such as civil, mechanical, and electrical) to integrate piping systems seamlessly within overall project designs.

  7. Problem Solving: Analyze complex piping challenges and propose innovative solutions to overcome them.

  8. Documentation: Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings to communicate design concepts and details effectively.

  9. Risk Assessment: Participate in risk assessment and mitigation activities related to piping systems, ensuring safety and reliability.

  10. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in piping design and engineering.




RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Piping Layout Engineer or similar role in an engineering consultancy or construction firm.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software for piping design.
Strong understanding of piping design principles, materials, and components.
Familiarity with piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
