Yext is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join its growing and dynamic accounting team This is a hands-on position with a mix of revenue accounting and operational duties This role will be responsible for assisting in the day to day transaction processing and accounting, preparing account reconciliations in connection with the close process, and performing financial analyses on an as-needed basis. This role is fully on-site in our Hyderabad, India office.

What You'll Do

Participate in various revenue related accounting functions including; preparing reconciliations and roll-forwards relating to cash, accounts receivable, and undeposited fundsSupport and assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processesAssist in implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions are completed according to GAAP principlesWork with independent auditors to provide support for audited financial statementsParticipate in streamlining and operational improvement projects to increase efficiencies and improve the internal controls over accounting processes and systemsSupport leadership in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assignedManipulate and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from various internal systems and the general ledger to provide business insightsServe as a strategic and trusted finance partner to various functions of the business by automating processes and providing insight into KPIsAssist in external financial reporting processes

What You'll Have

BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field2+ years experience in accountingWorking understanding of GAAPAbility to manipulate and handle large amounts of dataAbility to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actionsCollaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely on technical and operational issuesMust be detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environmentAbility to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others informed of status with respect to deadlinesExcellent written and formal presentation skillsProficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Word and PowerpointBig 4 public accounting or public/private company corporate accounting experienceTech industry experience (SaaS company) a plusCA or working towards completing a CA
