THE ROLE

 

As PDF Layout Engineer, you will work closely with Business and IT Teams to create the technical layouts for business documents, such as Import Documents & Booking Confirmations. After designing and implementing these documents from scratch, you’ll take care of the various updates the documents receive during their lifespan. Additionally, some teams that create their own document layouts need your consultation on best practices. At the beginning your main tool will be Adobe Experience Manager. Together with your team, you may create completely new layouts on different kinds of innovative platforms that you can shape.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and design PDF templates in collaboration with business teams, from initial concept to implementation.
  • Advise and support other teams (e.g., the Invoicing Team) on template design and layout best practices.
  • Deliver training and consultations to IT teams on effective template creation.
  • Implement standardized fonts and designs, maintaining consistency across various document types.
  • Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for alternative PDF design software, assessing options for optimized workflow and design.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Technical

  • Proficiency in AEM Forms Designer (6.5.0) or similar template design tools (e.g., ReportBro).
  • Scripting skills in JavaScript or equivalent.
  • Keen interest in design, with a strong eye for detail and precision.
  • Strong English communication skills, with the ability to advise and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new tools and technologies independently.
  • Demonstratable experience in building tools and automation solutions.

Personal

  • Require 5+ years of technology experience with trending technologies.
  • At least 3 years of experience in design and development of software, experience with large multinational organisations is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive cost reduction, automation, and improvements in process efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated and results oriented.
  • High Energy, able to motivate, collaborate and to generate followership.
  • Strong communication skills, with demonstrated capability in engaging a large, distributed organisation.
