Jobdescription: DesignEngineer

PrimaryResponsibilities:

Interfaces with Engineering functions to coordinate the release ofNew Products or/and productimprovements

Performs Virtual analysis & virtual build to early detectmfg. build issues and also determines the best & optimizedmfg. strategy sourcing strategy packaging & shippingstrategy for the responsible module.

Launchesreleases approves and implements engineering change orders /NonStandard Requests or Orders as required to support designengineering and floor for new/existingproducts.

Createand maintain Master Layout. Coordinates with Design SMEs in thedevelopment of Tooling Design & Testing fixtures to achievequality & productive manufacturing build.

Participate in the New Product Builds & Determines rootcause analysis for issues that arise during assembly and/or test ofsystems; drives Short term & Longterm corrective actions.

Interfaces between operations design engineering & GlobalProduct management to implement most feasible solution to resolvesupplier Build & Field issues following Corpprocesses.

OtherResponsibilities:

Applies DFx principles (Design for Manufacturing AestheticsErgonomics Producibility etc.) to reduce product costs and improvedelivered product quality.

Participates in the development and maintenance of new businessprocesses; edits as necessary to ensure current practices aredocumented

Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according tothe project in progress and/or the specific goals of the departmentin which the incumbent works.

PerformsProcess Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis when workingwith New ProductDevelopment.
