SUMMARY

The Cloud Supervisor plays a hands-on role in the daily operations and maintenance of our organization's cloud infrastructure. This individual will ensure optimal performance, security, and efficiency of our cloud-based solutions, while guiding a team of cloud engineers or technicians.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cloud Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of cloud environments, including deployment, configuration, and resource management. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor cloud environments, identify performance issues, and lead troubleshooting efforts. Incident Management: Respond to and resolve cloud-related incidents swiftly, minimizing downtime and impact to the business. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to protect cloud assets. Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA). Automation: Develop and implement scripts and tools to automate routine cloud management tasks. Team Leadership: Mentor and guide cloud engineers or technicians, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative environment. Capacity Planning: Monitor resource utilization and assist in capacity planning for future cloud needs. Cost Optimization: Analyze cloud usage and identify areas for cost savings and optimization. Vendor Management: Collaborate with cloud service providers and manage relationships effectively.  

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud operations or engineering. Proven experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Certifications in cloud technologies are highly valued. Strong understanding of networking, security, and virtualization concepts. Proficiency with cloud monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Experience with scripting or programming languages is a plus. Demonstrated leadership and team building skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
