Overview

Main purpose:

The role is responsible for developing and executing internal communication strategies that align with the company's values, business objectives, and foster a positive and engaging work culture. The role will also include managing the digital engagement strategy helping engage with key stakeholders and enhance corporate reputation.

Responsibilities

Accountability:

The role holder will be responsible to primarily support

Strategic Communication Planning:

Develop and implement comprehensive internal communication strategies that align with PepsiCo's business goals and values.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand key messages and ensure consistent communication across the organization.

Content Development:

Create templatised and compelling written content, emails, articles, videos, and other materials, ensuring accuracy, tone, and messaging consistency. Manage PepsiCo India internal communication channels: digital, office, screens, etc.

Employee Engagement:

Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement through effective communication strategies.

Identify opportunities to celebrate achievements, milestones, and foster a positive work environment.

CEO communication – letters, Videos

Organise townhalls and internal events.

Create campaigns and establish marque properties that drive employee volunteerism opportunities and help employee engagement. 

Change Management:

Support internal teams during periods of change by developing communication plans that effectively convey updates, mitigate concerns, and promote understanding.

Collaboration and Relationship Building:

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their communication needs and provide strategic guidance.

Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, HR, Supply chain to ensure alignment and integration of messaging across various platforms.

Measurement and Analysis:

Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives. Analyze data and feedback to continuously improve communication strategies.

Social Media Management –

Designing and implementing an “always on” social media strategy for owned platforms to engage with key external stakeholders. Ensure effective storytelling through social media for purpose driven initiatives and leverage all on-ground events through social media.

Develop and execute EVP and DE&I agenda in partnership with HR team. This includes being responsible for setting strategy, advising on the best communication channels and creating campaigns.

Act as internal partner to functions on the best way to communicate messages – advising on the right tone, channels and approach to maximize engagement (IT, Supply Chain, Finance, etc).

Drive all social listening, data analysis and score carding to enable constant learning about the impact and effectiveness of internal communications.

Qualifications

Key Skills/Experience Required

Master’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive internal communications strategies and plans. Excellent writing skills in English with the ability to adapt communication styles to diverse audiences. Demonstrated experience in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders. Proactive, creative, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficient in using digital communication tools and platforms and skilled on working with new age platforms like canva. Familiarity with analytics and measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of communications initiatives.
