We are looking for a Tax Accountant for the Pattern Team. As a vital member of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in various tax accounting projects across Pattern organizations, contributing to the continuous growth and success of our financial operations. This role is based at our office in Pune, India.

Job description:

  • Assist with the preparation of various corporate income tax returns as well as the income tax provision calculation for financial statements.

  • Manage the required data for and prepare various global Transaction Tax filings (VAT, GST, Sales and Use, etc.) returns for monthly, quarterly and annual filings on a timely basis. 

  • Maintain a tracking system related to global Transaction Tax filing thresholds to identify where and when we may need to register and begin tax filings in a new jurisdiction.

  • Respond to notices from tax authorities related to our Transaction Tax filings.

  • Prepare month-end reconciliations on various tax-related accounts. 

  • Provide variance analysis related to tax-related accounts on the monthly P&L. 

  • Create and maintain a tax compliance calendar for each respective tax. 

  • Conduct research on tax issues

  • Perform any additional accounting and tax duties as needed and assigned by supervisory personnel, including projects that require cross-functional collaboration with the ability to coordinate tasks with peers and provide updates regular updates.

  • Possesses judgment skills to resolve or escalate issues as needed.

Special conditions:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and tax

  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting

  • Strong functional expertise in business tax

  • Demonstrated capability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and communicate findings and recommendations effectively

  • Willingness to learn

  • Good command over English Language
