Across Asset and Wealth Management (AWM), Goldman Sachs helps empower clients and customers around the world reach their financial goals.

The Private Wealth management (PWM) business within Asset & Wealth Management division provides comprehensive Investment Management services and advice across a full-range of asset classes for very high net worth individuals. PWM leverages a global technology platform offering, an integrated suite of tools, and applications to service clients. This platform helps realize a client's goals and objectives, develops and implements an integrated wealth management plan and delivers first-class client service. Across AWM, our growth is driven by a relentless focus on our people, our clients and leading-edge technology, data and design.

Wealth Management (WM) Client Onboarding Engineering Team:

WM Client Onboarding is a platform comprising of multiple systems required to on-board complex high-net-worth clients for the WM business, securely manage their data, and run the necessary KYC requirements across jurisdictions globally. 

The team has developers based in offices across the US, UK and India. We are building a highly scalable, distributed, low latency onboarding application that provides unified client experience across various divisions in AWM. We use technologies including ReactJS, Java21, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Kafka, and Kubernetes. You will be part of a smart, passionate and fun team of developers who are excellent collaborators. You will get to design, develop and deploy features across the stack. 

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

Act as hands on developer in delivering new business and regulatory initiatives Able to quickly ramp up technical skills and be able to meaningfully contribute to multiple module up and down the stack. Mentor and guide junior team members on building scalable, fault tolerant and durable software. Lead, mentor and collaborate with a global team to design and build onboarding capabilities including accounting for fault tolerance, availability, operational excellence and test automation Closely collaborate with various stake holders like product owners, project managers and testers to design and implement product features on time. Deeply engage with other tech leaders in the team to architect the technical design of next gen onboarding platform Be a best practices champion and drive better coding hygiene in the team. 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance Experience designing system architecture Excellent written and verbal communication skills 6+ years of experience in Java , Spring , Database technologies, and ORM Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a global team 3+ years of experience in Micro services using REST 1-2 years of experience in Relational Databases writing complex queries and stored procedures

Preferred qualifications

Experience in Financial Services / Industry Working with global teams Knowledge of one or more NoSQL databases such as Mongo DB and Elastic Search
