Knowledge Centre India (KCI)

Established in January 2005, KCI in Gurgaon, works in close collaboration with the Global offices of Egon Zehnder. There are 5 teams that make up KCI: Research, Research Operations, Visual Solutions, Projects/CV Capture and Digital IT.

The Global Visual Solutions Team

The Global Visual Solutions team was started in 2011 to provide professional formatting and presentation finalization capability in the Firm.

Currently, the team has 18 members working across 3 shifts to provide 24/5 coverage to offices worldwide. The team supports consultants, researchers, practice leaders, and partners by providing support across business documents, marketing, and digital communication assets.

The team works on document conversion, brand adherence, and provide design solutions across various medium and platforms. The team provides brand and template adherence support across all internal and external communication. Additionally, the team works with the global community to create innovative videos, thought papers, newsletters, merchandise and many other custom supports.

The position

Visual Solutions Executive – Frontend Designer

The Web Designer/Developer needs to be a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next-generation websites and web tools. The candidate will be working on complex problems where analysis of content/data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. The work will include collaboration across different Egon Zehnder business groups. The candidate should have a strong understanding of translating mockups and static pages into dynamic templates while working with content teams.

The SharePoint Web Designer/ Developer will report to the Web - Subject Matter Expert, Visual Solutions Team at KCI.

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities

• Managing Microsoft Unily based Intranet Site - Working on complex web pages – edit/fix bugs in existing pages, create new interactive pages using complex HTML5/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery
• Assisting colleagues (researchers/consultants/EAs) in improving the quality of their web pages (e.g. by taking a semi-finished web page and improving it).
• Work with the brand, creative, and technical project teams to define and document requirements, overall user experience/interface vision on projects, and recommend strategically sound solutions to meet client’s business needs
• An ability to design user interfaces that present data to end-users in a manner that feels natural and clear
• Managing a varied workload of multiple ongoing tasks including new function development and product maintenance.
• As part of the development team, it would be your responsibility to develop and debugging of web pages and components.
• Staying up to date with new trends and advancements in web development
• Design intuitive and compelling interfaces optimized across devices including iOS and Android

Knowledge/ Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience preferably in Web Designing and Development
• Good knowledge of front-end development, iframe concepts, adapting web pages within Intranet platforms like Unily, WordPress or any other Content Management System
• Writing code in one or more frontend programming or scripting languages, such as JavaScript/jQuery
• Good Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience of working on PSD to HTML, Responsive Sites, PSD Designs, Banner Designs
• Knowledge of basic SQL is a plus
• Experience with large-scale applications
• Ability to articulate and justify design decisions
• Strong interpersonal skills, careful attention to detail, and ability to drive consensus

• Business knowledge: knowledge of global markets and companies, industrial verticals, industry classifications, levels of management, positions, and roles.
• Timing: Willingness to work in shifts (includes night shifts).
• Education: Graduate/ Postgraduate

Software: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver is a must

Creative ability/conceptualization is a must
