Description and Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead and conduct UX research across a wide range of website UIs, customer types, platforms, and product information Provide efficient, timely execution of research projects, using a wide range of tools and both qualitative and quantitative methods Develop research plans, methodologies, and protocols to address key product questions and business goals within the e-commerce space Perform competitive analysis, benchmarking, contextual inquiry and other types of usability tests Contribute UI ideas that simplify and enhance the online experience Analyze qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods data to identify patterns, insights, and trends specific to e-commerce user behavior Synthesize research findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations that enhance the e-commerce user experience Present research findings to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and workshops, with a focus on e-commerce insights Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize research efforts and align them with e-commerce business objectives

Qualifications

5-8 years of experience in user experience research or social science research, with a proven track record of delivering research findings with impactful ROI Expertise in experimental design and statistics; equally comfortable with qualitative and quantitative data Demonstrated expertise triangulating multiple research and data collection methods Expert-level experience with usability testing platforms and research tools such as survey platforms, session-recording tools, site intercepts, SAS, SPSS, R, or similar Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences Passion for user-centered design and a deep empathy for e-commerce users. Deep understanding of and practice applying the principles of good web and UI design Experience with web analytics tools; Quantum Metrics specifically is a plus Adaptability to shifting priorities, demands and timelines Possess a positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative and energetic team environment Ability to accommodate flexible working hours to support global business operations

Education/Experience

• Master’s degree in a Social Science or HCI, Cognitive or Social Psychology, Anthropology or related social science field is required. PhD preferred
