As R&D Program Manager, you will be leading R&D projects or being member of an Integral project and leading and responsible for the R&D project scope, as part of global IGT Systems R&D project management. You will be responsible for the timeline and quality of all the R&D projects under your scope. As R&D Program Manager, you will be part of R&D Project Management Office under the leadership of IGT Systems Head of R&D Project Management.

Your role:

As R&D Program Manager, you will be leading R&D projects or being member of an Integral project and leading and responsible for the R&D project scope, as part of global IGT Systems R&D project management. You will be responsible for the timeline and quality of all the R&D projects under your scope.

As R&D Project Manager, you will be part of R&D Project Management Office under the leadership of IGT Systems Head of R&D Project Management.

Is responsible for formulating the (sub) project plan(s), in consultation with management and other parties concerned on base of the requirements

Is responsible to organize the resources to be used (quality, time, allocation, budget and information), helps the team(s) to organize and specifies the quality standard in the processes

Identifies the risks of the project (f.e. specs, costs, planning, etcetera) and develops scenarios to overcome these risks by defining corrective actions and driving the projects to closure

Coaches and directs project team members and other program managers, gives them operational guidance, both technically and organizationally, including agile software development when applicable

Is responsible and facilitates for implementation and realization and release (if applicable) by the project team according to the project plan (specification, quality, time, money, information) and organization

Represents the (sub)-project team in the overall project to optimize fit for use and overall effectiveness

Drives daily management and methodical problem solving

Gathers and integrates project performance and progress information. Reports on the progress of the project with an agreed frequency on quality, status, time, and money to senior management and to the project member

Ensures that there is an effective transfer and archiving of the project results and the associated knowledge

Reports on employees’ performance to the hierarchical superior of the employees for the purpose of appraisal

Ensures requirements and business case are defined, completed and approved

Builds and maintains the project organization, helps the team to organize, chooses or coaches on the way of working and selects the adequate tools (tailors the approach to the specific project) and defines the interfaces with other functions, internal and external Philips

Is responsible for quality initiatives to ensure quality deliverables of subsystems delivered

Deploys process improvements, supports continuous improvement of teams and makes the project organization efficient and transparent, in line with departmental and project processes and compliance to corporate policies/rules/procedures

Manages internal and external stakeholders

The R&D PMO team in the Image Guided Therapy (IGT) business with 30+ experienced program and project managers, managing cross-functional assignments varying from small activities to big complex projects.

In IGT, we aim to make the world healthier through innovation by providing to our customer the best portfolio of image guided therapy systems to support minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment for a variety of critical conditions. > 5 years’ experience in a regulated medical device business with high complexity products and a make to order delivery process

Process minded

Dynamic and enthusiastic team player who can drive actions, eager, ambitious and self-propelling, being able to provide solutions in a challenging & complex environment

Fluency in English.

Knowledge of appropriate global regulations, requirements and standards is a pre (MDR, 21 CFR Parts 803, 806, and 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and ISO 14971)
