Lead Sourcing Specialist - Commodity Management

Our Sourcing Team provides support for regional and global projects. We engage and collaborate with regional and global sourcing and procurement teams. India Machining Spend has seen multi-fold spend growth since last 4 years.

As a Lead Sourcing Specialist - Commodity Management, you will be responsible for:

Contributing and/or leading category strategy, spend analysis and sourcing pipeline development. Achieving cost savings through execution of category and supplier strategies, execution of strategic sourcing methodologies, utilization of market data, supplier and category spend information and supplier optimization. Managing end-to-end RFQ process, lead commercial negotiations and/or bids to deliver value and risk mitigation Drive Sourcing Projects, along with Supplier Quality teams; timely updates to stakeholders. Advising other Functions regarding approaches, processes, and procedures in the own field. Owning and building relationships with strategic suppliers and other partners as needed to advance business requirements and achieve internal customer satisfaction. Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about approach and methods for solving complex problems. Leading medium sized projects or is a major contributor to bigger projects. Work goals typically take 3-6 months to complete and the time horizon for results/impact is typically 2-12 months after the event.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a minimum bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED) with at least 10~12 years of experience in Sourcing and or Category Management. Have a technical domain knowledge. Have an expertise in managing Mechanical Systems/Machining categories . Have a strong communication, interpersonal and proven leadership skills. Have an ability to influence others. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Project Management Skills. Have an ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills. Have an experience in Supplier Relations management; Proven analytical skills and organizational ability.
