Safety officer for DT factory Kalwa –

Job profile –

·EHS functionresponsibility for Transformer factory DT, Kalwa. Responsible for EHSimplementation as per Siemens requirement.

·Support theFactory Management in maintaining an effective EHS Management System withprocesses for the effective planning, organization, control, monitoring,review, and maintenance of the preventive and corrective measures.

·Ensureimplementation of Siemens EHS KPIs reporting system (EHS dashboards, incidentinvestigations) with focus on monitoring and continual improvementImplementation & monitoring of IMS (Integrated Management System) accordingto International Standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001).

·Drive the EHSimplementation Organize & conduct monthly Safety round & meeting withFactory manager.

·Selection,evaluation & performance monitoring of Contractors working in factoriesincluding a system of penalties & incentives.

·Identifytraining needs, plan and organize training programs on EHS at different levels.

·Plan andconduct EHS assessment of the factory, factory contractors & takecorrective actions promptly.

·Identify nearmisses, unsafe acts & unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions.Review & analyze UA/UC & follow up for compliance.

·Incident/Accidentreporting and communication (escalation), investigation, analysis &recommendation of corrective & preventive actions.

·Periodicreviewing of Emergency preparedness plan & carrying out mock drills.Coordination with internal & external partners on EHS topic.

·Liaison withlocal authorities for statutory EHS related compliances.

·Co-ordinatewith the Factory Heads, other factory EHS Officers & stakeholders foroverall EHS

·implementationin the location.

·Co-ordinatewith RC IN EHS, BU & OpCo EHS, including Health Management on specific EHStasks assigned.

·Implementationof EHS Policy, guidelines, procedures & compliance to legal requirements toestablish a real culture of Environment, Health and Safety etc. Provide clear,complete & binding instructions, as applicable.

·Ensureimplementation of EHS processes at Factory / service / project sites. Developand execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legalguidelines, Customer, and organization requirements.

·Ensure use ofPersonnel Protective Equipment (PPE) as required based on nature of work andEnsure availability of all safety gadgets in the project sites. Analyses andmonitors adherence to EHS standards in assigned organizations and preparesregular EHS reporting.

·Organize &conduct daily / weekly/ monthly Safety round & meeting with site managers /supervisors.

·Plan andconduct EHS assessment/audit of the sites & take corrective/preventiveactions promptly.

·Participatingin EHS core team meetings in identifying aspects & hazards at theworkplace/facilities and establish control measures. Guiding & trainingsite personnel in implementing them.

·Identify nearmisses, unsafe acts & unsafe conditions and ensure corrective /preventiveactions. Analyze UA/UC trends for underlying issues, suggest correctivemeasures & follow up for compliance. Stop any unsafe acts or processes thatseem dangerous or unhealthy.

·Establish asafe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attentionto environment, health and safety. Develop and implement safety programs.Provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations. Adviseand instruct on various safety-related topics in Transformer manufacturing,testing & dispatch process. Conduct risk assessment and enforcepreventative measures.

·Initiate andorganize OHS training of employees including contract employees.

·Incident/Accidenttimely reporting and communication (escalation), investigation, analysis &

·recommendationof corrective & preventive actions. Implementation of lessons learntthrough Safety alerts, UA UC, audit findings.

·Co-ordinate& engage with the project Managers, Site Managers, BU EHS & factorymanagement for effective participation on EHS implementation.

·Advice on usageof PPEs, tools, tackles, equipment & device appropriate to the nature ofwork &

application.

·Prepare andupdate EHS Legal register.

DesiredQualification & Experience

·BE/ Dip.(Electrical / Mechanical), Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized byState Technical Board of Education.

·3-5 yrs ofsuccessful industry / construction experience in driving EHS SystemImplementation at factory / project sites is preferable.

·Strongknowledge of Factory related Legal & applicable statutory requirements likefactory act, BOCW act, MPCB requirements. Experience in managing safety incomplex shop floor operations will be an added advantage.

·Knowledge ofapplicable EHS statutory requirements

·Have goodcommunication skills and proficient in reporting

·Preferablyresidents of Mumbai / Thane

·Ready to travelanywhere within India & abroad if require
