PositionOverview:As a Machining Process New Product Development Senior Engineer youwill play a pivotal role in our client innovation and growth byleading the development of machining processes for new products.You will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to ensurethe successful introduction of new products into productionfocusing on optimizing machining processes for efficiency qualityandcosteffectiveness.
KeyResponsibilities:
  1. NewProduct Development(NPD):
    • Leadthe machining process development for new products from conceptthrough to productionlaunch.
    • Collaboratewith design engineers to ensure manufacturability and optimizemachining strategies early in the product developmentcycle.
    • Conductfeasibility studies and provide input on design formanufacturability (DFM) to improve machining efficiency and reducecosts.
  2. ProcessOptimization:
    • Developand optimize machining processes on casting or Forging (Machiningturning milling grinding etc.) to achieve quality cycle time andcosttargets.
    • Utilizeadvanced machining techniques and technologies to enhance processcapabilities andproductivity.
    • Implementcontinuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes andenhance overallefficiency.
  3. TechnicalLeadership:
    • Serveas a subject matter expert on machining processes providingguidance and technical support to engineering and productionteams.
    • Mentorjunior engineers and technicians in machining techniques processtroubleshooting and bestpractices.
    • Collaboratewith external vendors and partners to evaluate new technologies andimprove machiningcapabilities.
  4. QualityandCompliance:
    • Ensuremachining processes meet quality standards regulatory requirementsand customerspecifications.
    • Conductroot cause analysis and implement corrective actions formachiningrelated qualityissues.
    • Driveadherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safetywithin the machiningteam.
  5. ProjectManagement:
    • Managemachiningrelated aspects of NPD projects including timelinesbudgets and resourceallocation.
    • Communicateproject status milestones and risks to stakeholders ensuringalignment with overall projectgoals.

RequiredQualifications:
  • Diplomaor Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringManufacturingEngineering
  • Provenexperience 410 years ) in machining process development preferablywithin a manufacturing or engineeringenvironment.
  • Strongexpertise in VMC & CNC machining tooling selection fixturedesign and processoptimization.
  • Proficiencyin CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks NX Mastercam) and familiaritywith simulation tools (e.g.FEA).
  • Excellentanalytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolvetechnical issues related to machiningprocesses.
  • Experiencein project management including managing timelines budgets andcrossfunctionalteams.
  • Strongcommunication skills with the ability to effectively collaboratewith internal teams and externalpartners.
PreferredQualifications:
  • Certificationor training in Lean Six Sigma and/or Project ManagementProfessional (PMP)certification.
  • Experiencein automotive aerospace medical devices or other precisionmanufacturingindustries.
  • Knowledgeof industry standards and regulations related to machiningprocesses andmaterials.
  • Abilityto innovate and drive continuous improvement initiatives inmachiningprocesses.
