What You’ll Do

Lead payroll accounting activities, including payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.Perform monthly payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations, including but not limited to payroll accruals, benefits, taxes, and employee deductions.Liaise with the Payroll processing team to understand global monthly activitiesPerform various GL month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliationPrepare Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuation analyses and ability to dive into the details to further investigate any variancesAssist in preparing internal and external financial reporting schedulesEvaluate process and system infrastructure, along with identifying and implementing process improvement opportunitiesMaintain and enhance the internal controls over accounting processes and systemsProvide a high level of customer service with finance and non-finance business partners by providing timely responses, financial insights and relevant reportingSupport the quarterly reviews and annual audit requests and inquiries from our external auditorsAd hoc accounting projects and requests, as needed

Your Background

4+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting rolesBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.Working knowledge and application of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX/internal controlsDemonstrated expertise in payroll accounting principles, regulations, and best practices, with a strong understanding of local and international payroll nuances.Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teamsExceptional communication skills, both written and verbalProficiency in implementing best practices for financial operations Well-versed in Excel, Powerpoint and working knowledge of ERP accounting software (Netsuite is a plus)Flexibility to adapt to a variety of engagement types, accounting, tax, global complianceUnderstanding of Highspot's industry and sales enablement solutions is a plusCombined public accounting (Big 4) and private industry at a publicly traded company is preferredChartered Accountant qualification is preferred, not mandatory#LI-KT1
