PrimaryRoles:

Implementation andConfiguration:

  • Analyzecurrent production processes and identify areas for improvementwithin D365 F&Os Production Control module.
  • Design configure and implement D365 F&O solutionstailored to meet specific business needs and industryregulations.
  • Assist with data migration toensure smooth integration with the new system.
  • Create required documentation like interface designdocuments and functional design documents.

Process Optimization and BestPractices:

  • Identifyopportunities to streamline production processes using D365 F&Ofunctionalities.
  • Develop creative workaroundsto meet client requirements without extensive custom codedevelopment.
  • Ensure configurations adhere tobest practices and industry standards.

Collaboration andCommunication:

  • Collaboratewith client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other consultants togather requirements and ensure all needs are met and havingexperience in onsite/offshore model.
  • Leadworkshops training sessions and presentations related to D365F&O production functionalities.
  • Manageenduser expectations throughout the implementationprocess.
  • Represent the consulting organizationprofessionally and effectively.

Testing and QualityAssurance:

  • Work with theQA team to ensure a highquality bugfree implementation.
  • Conduct thorough testing of D365 F&O functionalitieswithin the production context.
  • Troubleshootany issues that arise during configuration or testing.

Additional Skills andRequirements:

  • Provenexperience as a D365 F&O Functional Consultant with a deepunderstanding of the Production Control module.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonalskills.
  • Ability to lead and manage projectseffectively.
  • Knowledge of software testingmethodologies.
  • Experience in the manufacturingindustry (often a plus).

Overall a Production Consultant in D365 F&Oplays a crucial role in optimizing production processes ensuringefficient implementation and maximizing the value of D365 F&Ofor manufacturing companies.

Secondary Roles:

While the primary responsibilities of a ProductionConsultant in D365 F&O focus on implementation optimization andbest practices here are some secondary roles and responsibilitiesthey might encounter:

ChangeManagement:

  • Assisting withthe change management process related to D365 F&Oimplementation in the production department.
  • Providing training and support to endusers to ensuresmooth adoption of the new system.
  • Addressinguser concerns and resistance to change.

System Maintenance andSupport:

  • Providing ongoingsupport to production users after implementation.
  • Troubleshooting minor issues and escalating complexproblems to technical support.
  • Staying updatedon D365 F&O updates and recommending relevant changes to thesystem.

Data Analysis andReporting:

  • Assisting withthe creation of custom reports and dashboards to track productionperformance metrics.
  • Analyzing production datato identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Providing insights based on data analysis to informproduction decisions.

Integration with OtherSystems:

  • Collaboratingwith other consultants to integrate D365 F&O with otherrelevant systems like warehouse management or quality controlsoftware.
  • Ensuring seamless data flow betweensystems to avoid disruptions in the production process.
  • Staying UptoDate:
  • Continuouslylearning about new features and functionalities within D365 F&OProduction Control.
  • Attending industry eventsand conferences to stay abreast of best practices and emergingtrends in manufacturing technology.
