Your Role

Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining technical documentation for Atlas Copco products.

 
To succeed, you will need

What we expect of you?

Write, update and create Instruction manuals, quick start guide, product instructions, software manuals.Collect, evaluate, check and complete all informationPossess the knowledge of, and accurately apply, the English language including the meaning of words, rules of composition, and grammarAlign with priorities set by the Global teamDevelop strong product knowledge and understanding of target audience users and personasOrganize material and complete writing assignments in accordance with set standards regarding order, clarity, style, and terminology to deliver high quality documentationApply style guides and authoring checklists to maintain documentation qualityWork with other writers, Product Managers, service/marketing team to identify gaps in documentation of functionality and complete the required documentationPublish and maintain templates for written documentation produced by others ensuring a consistent "look and feel."Work closely with technical authors and assess their work for correct and consistent use of the source language.

Skills

Experience in authoring tools such as Author-it, Schema ST4, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe InDesign, Word2+ years of experience as a Technical writerAbility to write English clearly and concisely using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuationProven ability to write conceptual, task-oriented, and reference documentationExperience with MS OfficeExcellent written and spoken EnglishExperience writing to a style guide and to meet authoring requirementsExperience with MS TEAMS to track your work and collaborate with the product teamsCapable of effectively working with multiple stakeholders in cross-cultural, global teamsSTE certification and course in Technical communication is an added advantageWell organized and able to operate independentlyWilling to accept the challenges and convert them into success.Good planner and systematic organizer.A team player that will share information with colleagues and help develop the group.

Educational requirements

Master or Bachelor of Mechanical engineering
