We arenow opening our latest International School in Mumbai and providingan international teachers placement programme in Still I RiseInternational school of Nairobi Kenya. Here we are passionatelyengaged in one of the worlds most ambitious unique and excitingeducational projects: to offer the very highest quality ofschooling experience to some of the most disadvantaged children inthe area free of charge. You will inspire initially 1013 year olds in small focusedclasses following a demanding curriculum within aninternationallyrecognized pedagogical framework. You willskillfully utilise inquirybased learning to allow the students tobecome the active leads of their ownlearning.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plandeliver and facilitate dynamic and studentcentredPhilosophy lessons for diverse classesofstudents aged 1013 with varyinglevels of literacy due to disadvantaged educational backgrounds.Create enhanced opportunities for reallifeapplications of concepts using available resources and projectbasedlearning.
  • Review and monitor theprogress of all students and identify their individual learningneeds. Differentiate instruction to meet those needs of thestudents providing extra support to those students who are belowgrade level.
  • Sensitively and appropriatelyprovide traumainformed pastoral care to our students. Handle urgentsituations with consummate professionalism and in accordance withour Discipline Policy and Safeguarding Policy utilising the schoolssupport network as necessary.
  • Conduct regularand varied formative and summative assessments recording andreporting grades and performance.
  • Attend andparticipate actively in regular professional developmentactivities.
  • Help our school excel with yourparticipation and leadership in community engagement competitionsschool trips and other activities.
  • Contributeto the development and leadership of our extracurricularprogrammes.
  • Under the supervision of theEducation Officer provide feedback on quality and wellbeing toensure programmes are designed implemented monitored and evaluatedto maximise positive impact on vulnerablechildren.


ESSENTIALCRITERIA

  • Demonstrateour 13 School values as a role model to the students we serve.Successful applicants will be ambitious brave caring activelytransparent principled openminded a thinker reflective risktakinginquiring knowledgeable a great communicator andbalanced.
  • Excellent written andoralEnglish
  • Academicor Professional teachingcertificates;
  • Completion ofBackground check;
  • Bachelors degree in an arearelated to Mathematics or Education or equivalent training andexperience;
  • At least two years ofteaching experience;
  • CompetentICT skills;
  • Excellent interpersonalcommunication and organisationalskills;
  • Ability to mentor students on a dailybasis;
  • Resilience in a challenging and changingenvironment;
  • The capacity to teach with amodern inquirybased method
  • Determined teamplayer

DESIRABLECRITERIA

  • Experienceteaching students at an early literacylevel
  • Experience teaching at InternationalSchools
  • Experience working with vulnerablepopulations
