YAAS (YouTube as a Service) is a media company. We manage everything related to our clients' YouTube channels and Instagram accounts. Right from IP ideation to scripting, filming, production, editing, and uploading videos — we do it all. This allows our clients to focus on their core business while we take care of their content game.

Role Overview

We are looking for a knowledgeable and creative Finance Writer to join our team. This role requires someone with expertise in finance and an ability to transform complex financial concepts into accessible, engaging content. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of financial topics and trends, as well as a knack for storytelling that resonates with a range of audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write well-researched, informative scripts for YouTube videos and other content formats centred on finance topics.
  • Simplify complex financial topics, making them relatable and easy to understand for diverse audiences.
  • Develop storylines and scripts that convey key financial insights and advice while keeping viewers engaged.
  • Conduct in-depth research to ensure the accuracy and credibility of financial information.
  • Collaborate with the production and content team to ensure that scripts align with the overall video narrative and visual elements.
  • Stay updated with financial news, trends, and content strategies in the finance industry to ensure relevance and timeliness.
  • Propose ideas for new video concepts and series that can engage and educate viewers in finance.


Requirements
  • Proven experience in finance writing, ideally with a focus on media or content creation for digital platforms.
  • Portfolio showcasing finance-related content, with a clear ability to present complex topics in an engaging manner.
  • Knowledge of personal finance, investments, economic principles, and other financial concepts.
  • Familiarity with YouTube or digital media content best practices.
  • Experience working with content creators, finance brands, or within the media industry.
Required Skills
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to make financial information engaging and easy to understand.
  • Proficiency in translating complex financial jargon into clear, relatable content.
  • Ability to create narratives that engage audiences and provide actionable financial insights.
  • Understanding of SEO and YouTube algorithms to create content that performs well on digital platforms.
  • Excellent research and fact-checking skills to ensure accuracy in finance topics.
  • Time management skills to produce high-quality content under deadlines.
