About YAAS

YAAS (YouTube as a Service) is a media company. We manage everything related to our clients' YouTube channels and Instagram accounts. Right from IP ideation to scripting, filming, production, editing, and uploading videos — we do it all. This allows our clients to focus on their core business while we take care of their content game.

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and trend-savvy Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of YouTube video format and the ability to craft engaging, scroll-stopping content that resonates with target audiences and drives engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write concise, attention-grabbing scripts for Youtube across various client industries.
  • Develop creative concepts that align with current YouTube trends and client brand identities
  • Craft compelling hooks and calls-to-action (CTAs) that encourage viewer engagement and conversions
  • Provide clear visual cues and directions for editors and presenters within scripts
  • Stay up-to-date with YouTube trends, content strategies, and best practices
  • Collaborate with the wider content team to ensure consistency across platforms (YouTube).
  • Contribute ideas for new fconcepts and series that can boost client engagement and followers


Requirements
  • Proven experience in writing for social media, preferably with a focus on YouTube and Instagram
  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of engaging, trend-aware content for YouTube
  • Strong understanding of YouTube's algorithm, user behaviour, and content performance metrics
  • Experience working with content creators, influencers, or in the digital media industry
  • Excellent grasp of visual storytelling in a short-form format
Required Skills
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to convey messages concisely and engagingly
  • Strong understanding of SEO friendly scriptwriting best practices and trends
  • Ability to write attention-grabbing hooks and maintain viewer interest in 15-60 second formats
  • Proficiency in adapting complex ideas into simple, digestible content
  • Familiarity with hashtag strategies and YouTube content discovery features
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to produce high-quality content quickly
