Theyshall carry out maintenance work under their personal supervision only if theyare in possession of valid competency certificate issued by competencyrecommendation committee to work on LWR/CWR section. They shall undertake only those works of trackmaintenance for which they are authorized as per Maintenance Manual. They shall maintain additional/specialequipment issued to them in good condition and bring to the notice of AssistantManager – Track defective equipment requiring repairs. They shall carry out cab riding inspection ofLWR/CWR frequently during hot weather. They shall be vigilant during hotweather and take necessary precautions if the temperature is likely to reachtd+20OC and report to their superiors any unusual occurrences which take placeon the LWR/CWR in the section. They shall take prompt action to protect thetrack in case of rail/weld fractures and carry out emergency repairs to permitthe restoration of traffic promptly and report to superiors immediately. They shall take immediate steps to secure thesafety of the trains, if they consider that track is likely to be renderedunsafe. They shall ensure that all maintenance staffunder them is fully aware of their duties and responsibilities at all timeswith regard to maintenance of LWR/CWR. They shall ensure carry out cold weatherpatrolling during nighttime when instructed by their Superiors. They shall be in possession of Manual ofInstructions on LWR/ CWR always posted up to date. They shall have a thoroughknowledge of important pre-requisites for proper functioning of LWR/CWR and thelimitations and precautions laid down for work on LWR/CWR. They shall ensurethat the maintenance instructions are strictly followed by all the staff underhim dealing with maintenance of LWR/CWR. They shall be responsible: -
a) For inspection of creep/movement at centre of LWR/ CWR and recordingobservations of each LWR/CWR as per Manual in a register.
b) For making arrangements for patrolling of track in hot and cold weather.
c) For repairs and restoration of traffic in case of accident, derailment,buckling, rail fracture etc.
d) For carrying out destressing, welding, and other maintenance operationcorrectly and complete them within the PTW period. They shall record rail temperatures,destressing temperature, minimum and maximum rail temperatures and periodicallycheck the rail thermometers used far recording rail temperature with referenceto standard thermometer. They shall impose necessary speed restriction;in case the temperature exceeds td + 20OC after the maintenance work has beencompleted on LWR/ CWR during the period of consolidation of plinth concreteafter restoration if any. They shall be responsible for the procurementof the permanent way materials and the equipment required for the maintenanceof LWR/ CWR for all the staff working under them. They shall ensure that thematerials are properly distributed and kept in good order and shall recoup thematerials well in time. They shall maintain a permanent record of eachLWR/CWR as per the proforma laid down as per Manual. They shall be responsiblefor keeping this register up to date.

Qualifications:

·Diploma in Civil

·2-4 Years of experience 

·Pro-active and self-starterattitude, confidence, and independence

·Excellent communication,networking, and logical thinking

·Proficiency in English(written and spoken)

·Good knowledge of MS Officeapplication

This 82km long Delhi-Meerut line will consist of 16 RRTS and 6 MRTS stations. This will include developing a local O&M company from scratch to full operations, developing and leading a passionate and performance driven team, steering quality, performance and customer satisfaction as well as ensuring economic success in India
