The Energy Transition Solutions group is looking for a highly motivated technical program manager to manage new/existing software and hardware projects for EV Charging, Edge IIoT and Grid Management solutions. You will be immersed in the design engineering process and will shepherd projects from concept through to prototype validation and then production ramp. You will use your engineering background to understand the product requirements, technical risks and the validation strategy to accelerate the development process. You will communicate and present project status, highlight schedule risk, and develop recovery plans in the event of project slip. Daily, you will interface with cross function teams - design, development, manufacturing, compliance, system test, reliability, supply chain and operations to define and drive development of new product programs, while also managing changes in existing programs.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy on your programs while contributing to the development of tools and processes that improve the organization’s productivity.

 

You will be based out Noida, India but will need to travel to other engineering sites in India or globally as needed.

In this role, you will play a major role in setting the product direction, and leading effort in developing scalable solution for Landis+Gyr’s new Electric Vehicles and Energy Management software solutions. Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

•            Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT / Software development projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.

•            Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and finance to identify IT requirements and prioritize projects.

•            Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, milestones, resource allocation, and budget estimation.

•            Manage project timelines and budgets effectively, monitoring progress and addressing any deviations to ensure successful delivery.

•            Oversee vendor selection and management, including negotiation of contracts and service level agreements.

•            Establish and manage programs feature baseline, scheduling, critical path, and technology risks areas for execution

•            Cross-functionally communicate key development updates, risks and timeline on projects as well as presenting to group Executive team on a weekly basis

•            Identify tactical (exercise operational excellence) and creative ways to overcome obstacles while meeting deadlines despite setback

•            Develop tools to automate various reporting or planning functions for the Technical Programs Management Team

•            Conduct planning and execution/support of NPI builds

 

 

 

Education & Experience

What You’ll Bring

•            B.Tech in an engineering discipline or equivalent practical knowledge. Masters / MBA is preferred, but not required

•            10+ years of experience in a fast pace NPI, cross-function teams orientated environment managing programs for high volume mass production products

•            Project management certification (PMP) certification

•            Proven experience (X years) leading IT / Software development projects preferably in the IT or EV energy sector.

•            Demonstrate understanding of new product development cycles and criticality of time-to-market – any time spent on perfecting a design is foregoing the next big thing

•            Ability to grasp complex technical topics and abstract key issues and risks in an actionable form

•            Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication skills from teams to Executives, both verbal and written

•            Experience with Power BI

•            Skills with common workplace software (word processor, spreadsheet, presentation software etc) with the ability to create and maintain metrics

Pay is in the range of XY per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.  All candidates are encouraged to apply.
