We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef De Partie specializing in Bakery and Pastry to join our culinary team in Mumbai, India. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for creating exquisite baked goods and pastries that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for culinary excellence.
- Prepare and produce a wide variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts
- Develop and refine recipes to ensure consistent quality and taste
- Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef to create innovative menu items and seasonal specials
- Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene in the bakery and pastry section
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in bakery and pastry techniques
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of baked goods for service
- Assist in menu planning and cost control for the bakery and pastry department
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or diploma with a focus on baking and pastry arts
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, specializing in bakery and pastry
- Proficiency in a wide range of baking and pastry techniques
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, with relevant certification
- Expertise in using various baking equipment and tools
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and presentation
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills
- Knowledge of international pastry trends and techniques
- Ability to read and execute standardized recipes
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
