TheRole

Weare seeking highly motivated Network Engineer to execute astrategic vision for delivering valueadded customized OperationalSupport Services to our customers andconstituents.

Thisonsite position supports diverse networking technologies across afastpaced and constantly evolvingorganization.

Thisrole demands the highest level of service delivery providing acritical function on our team and interacting with and supportingsenior networkengineers.

SkillsRequirements

  • NetworkingExpertise: 5 years of corenetworking skills performing routing andswitching.
  • LoadBalancing Knowledge: Advancedunderstanding of load balancingtechnologies.
  • Tier3 Support: Ability to providetier 3 support for networking technologies including DHCP/DNS andfirewalls.
  • ComplexNetwork Experience: At least 5years of experience working with complex highperformance networksacross multiple sites (data centers and/or branchlocations).
  • AdvancedTechnology Knowledge: Advancedknowledge of one or more of the following: Arista EOS operatingsystems F5 load balancers Infoblox and Palo Altofirewalls.
  • RoutingProtocols: Proficiency inrouting protocols including BGP OSPF andmulticast.
  • TroubleshootingTools: Experience using toolssuch as Ekahau packet capture NetFlow NetMRI Splunk Endace CASpectrum and ThousandEyes is aplus.


Requirements
  • OperationalSupport: Act as a networkengineer on a team providing 24x7x365 operational support for alarge heterogeneousnetwork.
  • Collaboration:Work with network architects to design and implement functionalcompanynetworks.
  • ArchitectureImprovement: Provide feedback toenhance existing architecture ensuring scalability and highreliability of thenetwork.
  • TeamManagement: Manage and mentorjunior Network Engineering staff delegating maintenance tasks asnecessary.
  • IncidentResolution: Act as an escalationpoint for resolving incidents service requests andchanges.
  • Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve networkrelated performanceissues.
  • Documentation:Log all customer interactions filling out detailed information intickets and documentresolutions.
  • ProcessImprovement: Contribute todocumented process improvements for operationalefficiency.
  • Coordination:Coordinate support activities with multiple user departmentsinternal teams and thirdpartyvendors.
  • ClientRelationship Management: Buildand maintain positive constructive relationships with the clientcommunity.
  • ProjectManagement: Oversee variousnetwork projects within the clientbase.
  • ClientInteraction: Engage with clientsat all levels supporting all aspects of infrastructure technologyin theirenvironment.
  • OnCallResponsibilities: Participate inafterhours maintenance windows and an oncall rotationschedule.
  • TechnologyTrends: Stay current with thelatest trends in technology and manage their integration into thenetwork.



Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following: Arista EOSoperating systems, F5 load balancers, Infoblox, and Palo Altofirewalls.
