EssentialFunctions
  • Collectsdata pertinent to the healthcare consumers health or thesituation.
  • Analyzes the assessment data todetermine actual or potential diagnoses problems andissues.
  • Identifies expected outcomes for a planindividualized to the healthcare consumer or thesituation.
  • Develops a plan that prescribesstrategies to attain expected measurableoutcomes.
  • Implements the identified plancoordinates care delivery and employs strategies to promote healthand a safe environment.
  • Evaluates progresstoward attainment of goals andoutcomes.
  • Practices in a manner that iscongruent with cultural diversity and inclusionprinciples.
  • Delegates elements of care toappropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicablelegal or policy parameters orprinciples.

PhysicalRequirementsWorkrequires walking standing sitting lifting reaching stooping bendingpushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of35 pounds in handling patients medical equipment and supplies. Mustspeak English in good understandable terms. Intact sense of sighthearing smell and touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking andability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changesin patient and/or unit conditions. Physical Abilities Testingrequired. Additional department specific physical requirements maybe identified for unique responsibilities within the department bythe departmentleader.
EducationExperience andCertificationsGraduatefrom an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. BLSrequired per policy guidelines. Current RN license or temporarylicense as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which youwork and reside or; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC)state as your primary state of residency meet the licensurerequirements in your home state; or for NonNational License Compactstates current RN license or temporary license as a RegisteredNurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works.Additional education training certifications or experience may berequired within the department by the departmentmanager.
