As an IPdocketing Expert-cum-Chinese Translator & Project Coordinator, you willplay a vital role in facilitating effective communication betweenEnglish-speaking and Chinese-speaking parties as well as with the in-housedocketing team (in India) while also managing the daily docketing tasks tosupport project delivery. 

This dual-roleposition requires proficiency in IP docketing & paralegal tasks (mainlyChina Patent & Trademark Prosecution), fluency in both Chinese and English,as well as daily task management skills. 

Your responsibilities willinclude: 

Docketing:

·IP (patents and trademark) docketing experienceof 4+ years. Expert-level knowledge of China patent & trademarkprosecution.
·Docketing: calendaring the statutory &non-statutory deadlines in the Intellectual Property Management System (IPMS)along with relevant
documents to preserve IP rights.
·De-docketing: perform or close the calendaredevents in IPMS once the requisite action is completed or canceled respectively.

·Prioritize daily docketing/de-docketing requestsand other allocated tasks as agreed with the client to complete each day tokeep IPMS current and correct.

·Review patent & trademark prosecution-relateddocuments received via mail or shared site and update/create the records inIPMS as per the standard operating procedures (SOP).
·Create and update patent & trademark recordsin IPMS along with family linking of direct and subject matter related (SMR)applications.
·Maintain the data of IPMS and proactively monitorthe docket to ensure that all PTO & client deadlines are met. 

Translation:

·Accurately and fluently translate written andspoken content between Chinese and English.
·Translate a wide range of Patent and Trademarkprosecution documents, including correspondences from the China Patent Office,Foreign Agent
communications and end Client’s in-house China Team. 

Interpreting:

·Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretingservices during meetings, conferences, and events as needed.
·Ensure effective communication between foreignagents, the client’s in-house team who speak Chinese. 

Proofreading and QualityAssurance:

·Review translated content to check for accuracy,grammar, and cultural nuances.
·Make necessary revisions to improve the qualityof translations.
·Manage translation projects from start tofinish.

·Coordinate with clients and team members toensure all project requirements are met. 

Client Communication:

·Act as the main point of contact for clients,providing updates on project progress, addressing inquiries, and managingclient expectations.
·Maintain a high level of customer satisfactionby delivering high-quality translations and managing client relationships. 

Team Coordination:

·Collaborate with a team of in-house docketers, andoperations manager located in India to ensure smooth project execution. 

Qualifications:

·Native-level proficiency in Chinese.
·Good command of the English language is a must(oral and written).
·Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
·Excellent communication, interpersonal, andorganizational skills.
·Proficiency in translation and projectmanagement is a plus.
·This role requires a highly organized anddetail-oriented individual who can seamlessly switch between translation,docketing, and client
management while ensuring that all projects are deliveredwith high quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
