JobDescription: Retail Project DevelopmentStrategy and Planning Set development and constructionstrategies for all projects & refurbishments of the concept inline with retail expansion plans Conductproject feasibility studies and analyses for selecting retail sitesand existing store verification for refurbishmentLead a team of multiple Project Managers ArchitectsEngineers and Visualizers to lead retail fitout design andexecution works Set and implement site projectstandards and guidelines as associated with the concept and brandto ensure project delivery as per expectationsEnvisage projects within shopping malls standaloneproperty offices etc. as per vision and expectationGuide implementation to the teams from planning forproject Designs Tenders sites execution with construction projectmanagement to handover to the operational team including reviews onDefect liability periods Set up and reviewprocesses related to space design construction interiors selectionof vendors and contractors project management and costcontrol Work closely with other departmentaldisciplines such as Leasing Operations Visual merchandiser team andFinance on planning lease agreements budgeting capex reviews andProject management to ensure the objectives and visions of theprojects are realized Review drawing/samplesubmissions and consult within the Projects Team and ExternalConsultants as appropriate to ensure the design intent is beingmaintained Review and recommend to the retailteam any changes that may be required to renovate the existingstores
Technical Guidance Oversee and manage anyconstruction and interior design related work for concept ownedprojects across all the territories Providetechnical support related to design MEP and other engineeringservices Trouble shoots on the existingtechnical problems in the existing stores
Project Management Execution andControl Provide complete project management support whichincludes planning preparation of proposals budgeting schedulingtendering negotiations hiring and managing projectconsultants Nominate evaluate and appointspecialists / consultants as required by the ProjectsReview project plans for site development includingproject costing timelines and development schedules and coordinatefor approvals Supervise the team of ProjectManagers and ensure all projects are being developed on schedule onbudget as per specifications and in accordance with theexpectations of the brand Prepare and issueproject status reports with accurate tracking of budgets costscompletion of works material supplies and timelinesInitiate project approvals interfacing with all internaland external parties associated with the projectManage vendor / external consultant relationshipsincluding conducting planning session with vendors and serviceproviders and define project and performanceexpectations Coordinate with Concept Heads andRetail heads to regularly provide new project briefs feedback onthe progress of existing work/projects and taking decisions oncosts and budgets Undertake regular siteinspections to assess the actual development of the projects andassist team members to resolve any possible roadblocks / hindrancesto the project progress.
PeopleManagement Manage the performance of the team set annualperformance goals monitor performance and provide constructivefeedback to improve performance Identify theirtraining and development needs and ensure theirfulfilment Develop and mentor subordinates tomove to the next higher level of job through careerplanning Ensure compliance to Company policiesand values
