Being accountable for all Operational and Maintenance activitiesperformance healthsafety and environment(HSE) at assigned solar plants Maintainingcompliance with all company policies procedures contractualrequirements(e.g. interconnection AgreementPPA lease agreement etc.) and ensurescompliancewith environmental standards andapplicable governmental regulations.Responsible for the development of longrange maintenance plans formajor equipmentbased on sound engineeringpractices and OEM recommendations for the plantlifecycle. Draftingand providing input on the development of the annual budget andlongtermplans.Completion of facility reporting requirements including HSEbudgeting andplantperformance.Oversee daily weekly monthly and annual internal and externalreporting of operationalperformance and KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs) Lead regularmeetings with assigned plants to review and manage HSE O andamp;amp;M spendingand maintenanceneeds. Lead the use and management of thecomputerized maintenance managementsystem(CMMS) for all O and amp;amp;M workdone and pending and parts used so that accuraterecordscan be maintained for futureuse. Develop monitor analyze and reportagainst performance metrics and analyze andamp;amp;identify issues impactingoperational performance and recommend actionsforcontinuous improvement to ensureoperational financial targets are met.Manage spare parts inventories and make recommendations ifdeficienciesareidentified. Stepby step troubleshooting with technicians O and amp;amp;MContractors and subcontractorsand formulatesolutions in realtime. Launch RFP andnegotiate contracts such as vegetation management snowremovalremoval and reinstallation of plantsrepairs and capital improvement projects.Lead all operations and maintenance supplier relationshipsincluding but not limited tocraft labormaintenance services specialized services and qualified repaircompanies. Coordinate with engineeringsupport team when in need ofadditionaltroubleshooting/diagnosticassistance and perform root cause analysisPerform warranty management Support theinsurance program and claims managementReview and approve expenses provided by third partycontractors Review future project designsfor O and amp;amp;M assessment and feedback.Provide feedback to the Director of Technical Asset Management andother functionalgroups on O and amp;amp;MContractors EPC and OEMs performance highlights and areasforimprovement.Responsible for the integration of new sites developed or acquiredand leads allaspects of all integrationactivities to ensure complete integration and handoverfromConstruction and through acquisition.This includes acting as theoperationsrepresentative in developmentprojects planning for construction handover byorderingspare parts preparing and furnishingO and amp;amp;M buildings/warehouse responsible inthehiring of O and amp;amp;M Contractors andthe management and oversight of onboardingprocessfrom a technical point ofview. Participating in Business Developmentefforts as an Operations SME in duediligenceefforts assessment of target plantconditions assessment of risk on target plants O andamp;amp;Mcost estimations andrecommendations on major risks identified.Implementing appropriate change recommendations of companyleadership team. Maintaining and improvingrelationships with community groups and residentstounderstand concerns and liaison with O andamp;amp;M Contractor on issues. Sharelessons learned with Project Management and amp;amp;Engineering/EPC. Setting high andchallenging productivity and quality standards for self and workgroup;encourages new ideas and work methodsto lower costs and increase efficiencyqualityand safety.Recruit select train evaluate performance and manage plantoperating maintenanceand O and amp;amp;Mstaff.
Qualificationsand Experience:
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree or advanced tradecertificate. Will considerother relatedoperational experience with significant plant O and amp;amp;Mmanagement. Minimum of 56 years experiencein operations and maintenance in powergenerationtransmission and/or distributionincluding at least 3 years in the solar industry with P andamp;amp;Lresponsibility. Distributedgeneration and utility scale stronglypreferred. Background and understanding ofMV/HV substations preferred. Able to makecompetent and prompt decisions in emergency situationswithoutperfect/completeinformation. Ability to use and manage workwithin CMMS. Capable of writing operatingprocedures work requests and purchaserequisitions. Demonstrates the ability toread and interpret mechanical drawings electricalonelineslogic drawings technical manuals andinstrument drawings. Excellent communicationskills a high level of organization and being detailoriented.Must be able to workcrossfunctionally with contractors suppliers and internalteams. Able to understand and apply the bigpicture and corporate objectives to theirspecificsituation.Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs managedepartment networkdirectory/folders andexperience using DAS systems such as AlsoEnergyPowerFactorsand other OEMsDAS. Able to take initiative and workindependently with limited guidance. Preference foracandidate with a strong desire to learn andgrow. The work will require irregular workhours depending upon the required response ofsiteoperations to address the unpredictableneeds of the solar plant. Is a strong teamplayer and willing to assist others when necessary andappropriate Experience in the operation andmaintenance of battery energy storage systems isaplus.
