Job Description

Job Overview:

Based in our Bengaluru office on a 16x5 shift pattern with on call on a rota basis.

Focused initially on specialist end user support and resolution of issues with SAP GTS evolving, as part of a new dev ops structure, to support, design and develop, projects and maintaining live services.

Developing, integrating, improving and solving issues with SAP GTS solutions. Collaborating with various technical and business teams to contribute to all phases of the software configuration, development, and implementation lifecycle.

Maintaining technical proficiency in SAP GTS solutions, ensuring that systems are performant and fit-for-purpose. Core responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

Requirements, design, develop, test, or implement SAP GTS products and services. Providing L2 and L3 incident management for SAP GTS.

Have a solid base in IT with at least a or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years of overall experience in a similar role within a large, global organisation of which a minimum of 1 year is working with SAP GTS. Successful track record of hands-on experience implementing, configuring and customisation of enterprise SaaS applications, from concept through deployment and support, demonstrating a firm grasp of modern development practices such as Waterfall, Agile or DevOps.

Required Skills and Experience:

TECHNICAL

SAP GTS functionalities, compliance management, customs management, risk management, and electronic data interchange (EDI) integration. Configuring and customising SAP GTS to meet specific trade requirements, understanding international trade processes, and ensuring compliance with global trade regulations. Handling trade risks and compliance reporting within SAP GTS. Setting up and monitoring compliance checks in GTS, handling sanction party lists, and generating reports for audit trails and compliance verification.

PROCESS

Resolving Incidents to restore normal services. Handling the lifecycle of problems. Documentation and knowledge creation.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

Relevant SAP certifications, such as SAP Certified Application Associate or Professional in areas related to sales, distribution, or specific SAP technologies used in GTS. Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs processes, and compliance requirements. Understanding tariff classifications, trade agreements, export/import controls, and customs declarations.
