India Fashion Tech team delivers best in class customer experience while making a fashion and beauty related purchase on Amazon. The team owns the overall charter of customer experience across selection / product discovery, product evaluation, ordering and post order experience for all customers of A.in when they purchase or browse for any fashion product or beauty product.

The team builds very large and extensible architectures to cater to billions of Indians and world wide customers. The solutions are deployed on latest and cutting edge Native AWS tech stack leveraging the LLM and other BedRock capabilities.

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager, the position is the architecture and operational owner of various tech stacks and solutions developed by the team. The individual will lead a team of cross functional engineers to enhance, build or reachitect solutions to deliver a customer centric roadmap.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of multi talented cross functional engineers.
- Keeping the bar high on the quality of the solutions being developed by the team. Own design, development, test, deployment and operation of capabilities for the tech stack.
- Advise and consult with other SDM’s and Senior Engineers on design and architecture. Managing key senior stakeholders with regular written and verbal updates.
- Provide technical direction to your the team, and influence technical direction of stakeholder teams
- Establish and execute short and long-term architectural roadmaps
- Hire and mentor software/system engineers and actively participate in developing their career.
- Partner with Product Mangers and TPMs to accelerate delivery of solutions to our customers.
- Be responsible for ensuring sanity of architecture, operational excellence and quality, delivering results on time.

A day in the life
As a Software Development Manager, you will work with Product Managers and TPMs on execution of product roadmap. Managing your team and work with other SDM’s or stakeholders in designing, developing, and delivering solutions to our customers. You own supporting production issues and tickets.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
