Job Purpose:
To be a part of the Assay Biology group and support various assay related activities involving protein biochemistry, cell biology techniques to evaluate or develop methods for screening assays, delineation of the mechanism of action by biochemical, enzyme assays using different assay technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Assay development and validation for regular screening of molecules in different assay formats such as like Luminescence, fluorescence, FRET, radio assays, etc. Provide assistance to team leads in terms of planning and executing biochemical and/or cellular laboratory experiments and interpreting results. Regular cell culture activities like propagation and maintenance of cell lines and other operational activities in the labs Writing of Laboratory notebooks following ALCOA++ data integrity principles Ensure completion of the work as per the project timelines Must be able to update the reporting manager periodically and escalating any major shortfalls with respect to resources and timelines Able to train junior team members to execute screening activities with established SOPs Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety and attend relevant training imparted companyEducational Qualification:
M.Sc/M.Tech in Biological Sciences Expertise and in-depth knowledge of cell-based and biochemical assays (TR-FRET, HTRF, Fluorescence Intensity, Alpha screen, Radioactive assays and Luminesce based assays) Experience and good knowledge on assay QC parameters Experience in biophysical assays is plus Experience with automated liquid handling systems Experience in ELISA and Luminex based assays for cytokine estimations would be advantage Experience with human primary cells and tissue samples Experience with RT-PCR and Western blots; Knowledge of WES and JESS systems is a plus Ability to analyse and present data using excel, ppt and statistical tools (Graph Pad Prism, Excel-fit) Ability to plan and execute work and perform multiple activities in parallel.Experience:
M.Sc/M.Tech with 3 to 8 years of experienceBehavioral Skills:
