Job Purpose: The Discovery Genomics team is looking for a motivated bioinformatics scientist to work for early drug discovery projects. The person will analyse of different kinde of omics data and other high dimensional data sets and will perform data integration. The data analytics is expected to provide actionable leads for the drug discovery programs and to enhance our capabilities to better understand the disease and help develop more efficient develop tools for the early discovery research. The position is embedded within early drug discovery organization to extensively collaborate with different functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analysis of bulk and single cell transcriptomics, genomics, proteomics, phosphoproteomics, flow cytometry and other high dimensional datasets.
• Integration of multiomics and other multimodal datasets.
• Statistical models for hypothesis testing, clustering, time series analysis and regression analysis in large scale datasets.
• Development of statistical framework for specialized datasets and questions, ML/DL based frameworks for data integration and signature generation.
• Cross functional Collaborations.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech.
Technical/functional Skills:
• Proficiency in analysis of multiomics datasets.
• Clear understanding of statistical concepts such as underlying assessment of variance, data normalization, and statistical modeling.
• Sound understanding of different ML algorithms and ability to apply appropriate methods
• Proficiency in program in R and Python, preferably both.
Experience: 4-7 years
Behavioral Skills: Ability to work in collaborative atmosphere. Strong communication and presentation skills.
