This role is for one of theWeekdaysclients
Weare looking for a Lead SDET to joinour team and drive the quality assurance process for our products.The ideal candidate will have deep expertise inautomation testing performance testing and cloudbasedinfrastructure with a focus on AWSDocker and Kubernetes. As a Lead SDET you will leadtest strategy creation manage automation frameworks and ensure oursystems are robust scalable and meet the highest qualitystandards.
KeyResponsibilities:
  • Leadand mentor the SDET team in the designdevelopment and of automated tests forbackend and frontend applications.
  • Develop andmaintain test automation frameworks with a focus onscalability androbustness.
  • Planand execute performance testingstrategies to ensure system reliability and stability underload.
  • IntegrateDocker andKubernetes into the testing pipelinefor containerized applications.
  • Collaboratewith DevOps andengineering teams to ensure seamlessintegration of testing environments withAWS.
  • Monitor tests and troubleshoot failures using automation scripts logging toolsand metrics.
  • Drive CI/CDpipeline integration to automate testing anddeployment workflows.
  • Stay uptodate withindustry best practices and advancements in SDETmethodologies and testingtools.
  • Lead root causeanalysis for defects and ensure corrective actionsare implemented effectively.
  • Ensure compliancewith security andperformance benchmarks acrossenvironments.

RequiredSkills andQualifications:
  • 5years of experience in testautomation and performancetesting.
  • Expertise in buildingand managing test automationframeworks (e.g. Selenium Cypress orequivalent).
  • Solid understanding ofAWS services includingEC2 S3Lambda andCloudWatch.
  • Handsonexperience with Docker andKubernetes in a productionenvironment.
  • Proficiency inprogramming languages such asJava Python or JavaScript for testscript development.
  • Strong knowledge ofCI/CD tools like JenkinsGitLab or CircleCI.
  • Experiencewith performance testing tools (e.g.JMeter Gatling or LoadRunner).
  • Solidunderstanding of RESTful APIs and APItesting methodologies.
  • Excellent problemsolvingand communication skills.
  • Ability to work in anagile development environment andhandle crossteamcollaboration.

PreferredQualifications:
  • Experiencewith microservices architecture andtesting.
  • Familiarity withmonitoring and logging tools (e.g.Prometheus Grafana or ELKStack).
  • Knowledge ofsecurity testing and compliancestandards.
  • Prior experience working incloudnative environments withAWS as the primary cloudplatform.
