Lead Fullstack Engineer

The Lead Engineer will be responsible for technically leading a team of engineers developing features of Preqin applications. You will work closely with product definition team to come up with technical solution according to the business requirements and implement according to Preqin standards and best practices. You’ll play a key role working closely with the Product and Design teams to understand customer problems and experiment at speed with potential solutions to find the best way to drive customer value. Your work will have a direct impact on our business and benefit tens of thousands of customers across the world.   • Collaborate with cross functional teams within our Continuous Discovery practices, capturing customer problems and scoping opportunities for customer and business value
  • Guide technical design and delivery. From rapid prototyping enabling fast experimentation, to modernising and paying down technical debt
  • Work with product owner and business analyst to deliver desired applications, features, and capabilities along with required testing scenarios
  • Lead a team to write and deliver code that is modular, highly scalable, and robust to achieve better quality, satisfy stakeholders and delight customers
  • Adhere to Preqin development standards and continuously improve software engineering practices. Drive continuous improvement within working practices, teams, and yourself. 
  • Conduct Design and code reviews to ensure code adheres to development standards
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers, accelerating their technical growth and setting aspirational standards
What you’ll bring to us:
  • You possess strong technical ability across the full stack: Ideally Python, JavaScript, Postgres, AWS
  • You have some experience with a framework language such as Java or .Net, as our legacy system uses .Net
  • You have knowledge of infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines (including secrets management) and container orchestration software such as Kubernetes
  • You are curious; willing to learn about new technologies, ways of working and acquire new skills in a truly “agile” mindset
  • You know that generating positive outcomes requires knowledge of the customer and the problem space to allow effective use of your technical knowledge ability
