Assistant Manager – Demand Planning

We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager – Demand Planning
As a Demand Planning Manager- The incumbent will actively work to lead implementation projects, optimize and improve overall reliability, accuracy of the Demand Planning processes. He/she will be responsible for Metrics reconciliation with customer monthly basis and need to anchor monthly review meeting with clients.
Provides analytical and application support for specific and well-defined Supply Chain areas in order to deliver results in terms of service, speed and cost. Applies working knowledge of businesses, products and customer requirements in completing assignments.
Responsibilities
• Act as a single point contact for review meetings, deliverables, process related information or any alteration to the current forecast model
• Review forecast and overlay commercial & business insights to generate the demand plan
• Review the current safety stock and determine SSL based on the demand volume, unit cost and Avg. demand interval
• Efficiently carry out data preparation/data modelling necessary for the Forecasting purposes and SSL review
• Manage part classification on their behavioral pattern (ABC classification, Lead time, demand variation, demand volume & intermittency)
• Lead implementation projects in Demand Forecasting and provide direction in alignment with requirement from client stakeholders
• Work with cross functional teams to meet supply chain objectives such as inventory entitlement, inventory control and inventory market commitments.
• Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
• Create and designing intuitive and interactive reports and dashboards for data driven decisions
• Analyzing the different trend/graphs, advanced excel, PowerPoint.
• Managing delivery of Demand Planning attributes/metrics and related presentation to stake holders under strict timelines
• Review standard consumption versus forecast at the customer and total product levels, liaising with replenishment and S&OP to manage potential availability issues and the impact of under consumption
• Identifying improvement opportunities to infuse efficiency and effectiveness into business processes through process optimization, digitization, leveraging digital tools like Python/R, Power BI/Tableau/Spotfire.
• Demonstrated experience in leading projects, provided thought leadership related to forecasting models
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
• MBA and Masters / Engineering (Aeronautical or any specialization)
• Any SCM certifications
• Experience in Supply chain domain
Preferred qualifications
• Functional knowledge of demand forecasting, spare parts planning and in depth understanding of inventory management
• Working knowledge on MS-Excel and MS-Access
• Working knowledge of any one Data Analysis/Visualization language or BI Tool such R, Python, Power BI, Tableau etc.
• Candidate should have core supply chain background
• Preferred background: B.E./ B.Tech / MBA / ( APICS certifications
• Preferred: Knowledge on Forecasting Tool (Demantra)
