The Opportunity

:
As an Events Specialist at ApplyBoard, we’ll look to you to bring energy and creativity to your career every day as you help develop and implement the event strategies that inform, educate and engage our coworkers, and partners across the globe. A key member of our talented Growth Marketing team, you’ll assist in planning and executing a range of global sales, branding, thought leadership, and community events, in-person and online. Assist with and actively manage the layout and execution of live and on demand webinar programs as well as virtual events.

What you’ll be doing everyday:

Work closely with the Senior Manager, Events & Webinars as well the Growth Marketing team to implement ApplyBoard’s global events including sales, branding, thought leadership, training, and community events including planning, execution, and post event cycles.

Assist in planning, coordinating and executing all webinars programs & initiatives.

Work with the internal marketing and communications teams to assist with the creation of the graphic concepts for booths/banners, advertisements, event invitations, both in print and evites, and any required handouts

Assist in conducting market research, competitor analysis, and support in creating event plans and tactics to produce top-notch events that help in lead generation and build engagement with the target audience

Assist in event specific content creation, communications, and materials for pre-event, execution, and post-event stages including emails, social media campaigns, videos, presentations, handouts, booths, signage, etc. 

Oversee event experiences from conception through post-event, managing on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown, ensuring consistent, high-level service throughout all phases

Build and maintain company wide events calendar 

Maintain and build a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues

Assist in providing detailed reporting on events results to senior leadership

Attend events and be onsite (once safe to do so) as required

Other tasks as assigned


What you bring to the table:

A college diploma or university degree in marketing, events, business, or another related field

3+ years of experience executing events at a fast-paced technology company 

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated knowledge of event management principles, methods and techniques.

Experience working with vendors and contract negotiation

Experience working with senior professionals in a fast paced environment often with tight deadlines

A can-do attitude with a willingness to jump in and help team members as needed to achieve desired results

Ability to work outside of regular 9:00 - 5:30 PM hours and occasional weekends as required
