The Opportunity

Planview, Inc. is seeking a tenured candidate for the position of Sr Solution Consultant as part of the APAC Solution consulting team, mainly focused on India region . We would prefer the person to be based in Bengaluru, however we are open to consider a Mumbai based person for the right profile.

The Solution Consulting team within the sales organisation is a key part of the success for the company. In the “changing world of work” it is becoming increasing important we partner with customers and prospects to identify where they are on their “strategy-to-delivery” journey and define the best Planview solution to meet those needs. With our solutions supporting different ways of working (Traditional, Agile, Hybrid) and many of our prospects/customers on an Agile transformation journey, domain experience in either PPM/PRM or Lean & Agile Programme Management is essential; experience and/or certifications in Lean & Agile practices are a significant bonus.

We are looking for a tenured pre-sales professional, someone who operates from the first principles to help our customers achieve the art of the possible with Planview platform. Some of the key attributes we are seeking in the person are problem solving, customer-centricity and love for IT.

You will be a key member of the India GTM team, driving engagements with CXO’s and helping Planview become their trusted ally. enabling and supporting both the Field Sales team and the Inside Sales team to functionally/technically qualify and prove direct sales opportunities as below.


What You'll Do

Solution/ pre-sales leadership for India with APAC (Field & Inside) Sales Team

Engaging with CXO’s for creating a mindshare for Planview. Positioning the Planview value proposition as part of our overall business solution, aligning these benefits with key business issues of the prospect/customer Performing prospect and customer presentations and demonstrations using Planview solutions Preparing responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQ’s and other prospect inquiries Participating in seminars, trade shows, and other marketing activities in order to promote awareness of Planview and our solutions Conducting custom/configured demonstrations and benchmarks, using actual or derived customer information, for example scenarios and scripted demos Delivering product demonstrations in support of the Planview solution; demonstrations vary from executive-level overviews to scripted proofs-of-concept Providing continuous correspondence with the prospect to reinforce and sell the value of the Planview solution. Providing further clarification to the prospect through follow up phone calls and additional demonstrations Performing solution consultant partner training Participation with the Sales team in the preparation and execution of individual sales strategies for Planview prospects and customers You will communicate customer’s business requirements to members of the implementation team after completion of the sale to ensure a smooth transition from presales to post-sales You will support tradeshows, conferences, and other marketing events

Professional Development

As an Experienced Sr Solution Consultant you will work with colleagues to maintain and enhance demonstration systems and best practices You will maintain your own professional development and presentation skills; including continuous learning of new Planview products/technologies/solutions You will share experience with peers through cross-training sessions, team meetings, etc.
What You'll Bring

Relevant college/university degree required Pre-sales Experience: Minimum 10 years previous presales consulting experience or consulting experience with a strong desire to move into a presales role Industry/Domain Expertise: Minimum 10 years experience inPPM/PRM and/or Agile software/industry experienceSoftware Configuration ExperienceExperience in Agile based practicesExperience in guiding teams on Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, SAFe etc.) a plus Sales oriented behavior Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong Presentation/Demonstration skillsStrong communication (verbal and written), analytical, and consulting skillsAbility to explain technical concepts to non-technical prospects Fluent in English is a mandatory requirement .  Other languages are a bonus.
