About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
  • Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery
  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Design complex system upgrades
  • Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
  • Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of storage backup engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a NAS, SAN and backup environment
  • 5+ years of experience with storage backup software and systems such as NetBackup, Data Domain ,Cohesity, Rubrik, PPDM
  • This position will work with a variety of technologies so experience in one or more of these areas is preferred:
  • Operating Systems: Windows, VMWare, Linux
  • Databases: SQL, Oracle
  • Network: Cisco, Firewalls
  • Languages: Python
Desired Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Backup and Recovery Engineering Solutions specifically NetBackup, Data Domain ,Cohesity,Rubrik,PPDM
  • Advanced scripting skills specifically around automation in Ansible/Python/Powershell
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of technologies related to infrastructure engineering such as Windows /Vmware/Linux, Database (SQL/Oracle), Networking and Firewall.
  • Ability to help remediate tough technical support issues.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team on multiple overlapping projects.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
  • Customer focused, service-oriented attitude
  • Proven skills analyzing and trouble-shooting complex systems configurations
  • Agile experience
  • Risk management and mitigation experience
