Details:

  • Needis on a PRN basis ongoing
  • Willing to acceptthese specialties: family medicine internal medicine orthopedicsurgery etc or anyone with a background in general medicine orexperience with compensation and pension.
  • Two(2) options for coverage Travel and perform exams at VES leasedfacility and/or schedule Veterans within your ownpractice
  • Option to work days(4hours) and/orfull days(8hours)
  • OneTimenontreatment C&P exams separation healthassessments
  • Exams are primarily interviewbasedwith some physical assessment: range of motion testing musclestrength testing.
  • No prescribing notreatment
  • Quick credentialing &onboarding
  • DMA certification available (can getCME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not alreadycertified
  • Use of Goniometerrequired
  • Familiar withMusculoskeletal Diabetes and Cardiorequired
  • Proficient in METs testing evaluatingand diagnosing respiratory cardiovascular and neurologicalconditions.
  • Own personal laptop (NOMACs)
  • Training shall be provided for allReporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires(DBQs)
    • Reporting/DBQs must besubmitted within 48 hours upon exam completion no narrative report.End product is completion of standardizedform(s).
  • Evaluations to be completedin VESs provider portal
  • Record review isrequired in most cases
  • Follow up administrativework will be required on a regular basis (addendums medicalopinions and readingdiagnostics)

RATESTRUCTURE FORPRESENTATIONS:

***HourlyOvertime Holiday rates are NOT applicable with VES. All Gen Medproviders must follow the rate structurebelow.

Halfday Rate xx800flat rate for 4 hour shifts or less (includes times to completeexams submit report including any addendums noOT)Daily Rate xx1600 flat rate for 5 hourshifts or longer (includes times to complete exams submit reportincluding any addendums no OT)Bonus one timebonus of xx650 for completing all required training and performingfirst examslocal candidates only travelincluded in rates

Clientdoes not reimburse for DMA certifications or the portal trainingbeforestarting.

Processonce credentialing is kickedoff:

Aftercredentialing is confirmed as complete the provider will need tocomplete their DMA training. DMAs will be only be assigned to themonce credentialing is complete. After DMAs are confirmed ascomplete the provider is marked as active in the VES system. Atthis point they are able to provide their availability forscheduling. Before working their first shift they will need tocomplete a 2hour PEP session/training. Availability for this willneed to be provided along with shiftavailability.The Pep Session is oneonone viaZoom or Microsoft Teams and done with a Report Analyst that willpair up with you as a New Provider Liaison. They will help youlearn how to navigate the online secure web portal give advice andtips on completing DBQs and reviewing medical records and they willprepare you directly for your first Veteran cases. The Pep Sessionlasts about 23 hours and is scheduled a few days before your firstVeteran cases. This New Provider Liaison will be someone that helpsyou get to a point where your scheduling restriction of 510Veterans every two weeks can be lifted. This takes most providersbetween 13 months and sometimes up to 6months.Once established if the provider iswilling and there is a need VES may ask for them to travel to otherareas to assist with cases. In these cases travel expenses will bereimbursed per VESguidelines.
