OverviewThe MD/DNBGeneral Medicine Consultant plays a crucial role in providingcomprehensive medical care to patients contributing to theefficient operation of the healthcare facility. As a key member ofthe medical team the consultants expertise and decisionmakingskills significantly impact patient outcomes and satisfaction. Theycollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care andtreatment plans for patients with various medical conditions. Theconsultant also participates in continuous medical education andstays updated with the latest medical advancements to provideevidencebased care.Keyresponsibilities
  • Conductcomprehensive medical evaluations and diagnoses forpatients.
  • Develop and implement individualizedtreatment plans.
  • Monitor and manage inpatientand outpatient medical cases.
  • Interpretdiagnostic tests and investigations.
  • Provideexpert medical consultations to patients andfamilies.
  • Participate in medical rounds andcase discussions.
  • Collaborate with otherhealthcare professionals for integrated patientcare.
  • Ensure compliance with medical standardsand protocols.
  • Contribute to qualityimprovement and patient safetyinitiatives.
  • Participate in medical researchpublications and presentations.
  • Supervise andmentor medical staff and students.
  • Conducthealth education and awarenessprograms.
  • Contribute to departmental policiesand procedures.
  • Participate in oncall duties asrequired.
Requiredqualifications
  • MD/DNB in GeneralMedicine from a recognized institution.
  • Validmedical license to practice as aConsultant.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience ina hospital setting.
  • Extensive knowledge ofinternal medicine andsubspecialties.
  • Proficiency in medical recorddocumentation and EMR systems.
  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strongclinical judgment and decisionmakingabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in amultidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment tocontinuous professional development.
  • Uptodateknowledge of medical guidelines and bestpractices.
  • Empathy and compassion towardspatients and their families.
