Job title: Technical Sales Engineer

Educational qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil disciplines.

Work Experience:

  • Experience: 2 to 4 years’ experience with proven track record in technical sales, preferably in the construction, engineering, or building materials industry. Experience selling MEP support products or related solutions will be advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to understand CAD drawings, basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects. Familiarity with pipe supports, clamps, and hangers will be highly regarded.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Should be able to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical audience.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the Channai region to visit project site, meet customers and attend industry events (as and when required).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and generate leads with persuasion skills are essential.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset to address customer inquiries and technical challenges effectively.
  • A customer-centric approach with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

 

Job Profile:

  • Identify potential customers in the Channai region, including MEP related consultants, engineering and construction firms, contractors, and distributors. Generate leads and actively pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
  • Gain a deep understanding of products and their applications in various projects. Provide technical guidance and support to customers, helping them select the most appropriate products for their specific needs.
  • Conduct engaging sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase our value proposition. Clearly articulate how our solutions can meet the unique requirements of customers' projects.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Address their inquiries promptly, resolve any technical issues, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments. Use this knowledge to identify new business opportunities and strategize effective sales approaches.
  • Collection of payments and relevant documents for commercial closure of orders independently. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and progress toward targets.
  • Work closely with the sales and technical support teams, sharing feedback, and coordinating efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and overall sales performance.
  • Conduct product training or Mock-up sessions at site for customers, distributors and their staff to increase product awareness and proficiency in presenting products.
  • Prepare regular sales reports for reporting manager, management, including forecasts and market insights.
