Role: Billing Executive

Location: Chennai

Experience : 4 to 7 years of relevant experience ( in Credit Control and Billing)

Our Finance, Legal & Business Intelligence function is spread across our global offices. In summary, they manage the company’s finances, implement risk management controls and work closely with the commercial function to gather insights into our sales and marketing pipeline. Our centralised PMO team also sits within this function as they work closely across all functions to lead strategic initiatives.

Your key responsibilities as a Billing Executive will be:

Raising invoices: The timely raising of invoices in accordance with internal processes and agreed contracts

Delayed billing reporting- Working through delayed billing reports to ensure everything is billed in a timely manner and no revenue is missed

Customer Relationships: Respond promptly to all queries from customers and stakeholders and take ownership of fixing any queries for moving forward

Mailbox SLA’s: Meet defined service level agreement for response and resolution of requests and queries that come into the billing team mailbox

Knowledge Management: Have a full and complete understanding of all current policies, processes and procedures within the billing team and ensure they are followed

Process Improvement: Identifying process or system improvements and work with the Group Billing Manager to implement them.

To join us as a Billing Executive you will need the following key technical skills

  • You must have minimum 3 year's experience in a similar role in a busy Billing team.
  • You will ideally have good Excel skills including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
  • You must have excellent attention to detail.
  • You will have experience in raising invoices, credits notes and query resolution
  • You will ideally have experience in dealing with clients in global locations and invoices and credits in multi-currencies
  • You must be a clear and diplomatic communicator
  • You must have an experience in NetSuite/Oracle.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve a problem quickly
  • Strong time management and the ability to manage changing priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibility to multi- task
  • Ability to talk to international customers and establish a good working relationship with both internal and external teams
  • Ability to achieve the defined performance metrics in terms of billing numbers and credit notes raised along with the SLA’s for dispute resolution and billing mailbox queries
