Job Description

As a Sr. Staff Software Engineer, you will be part of Merchant & Acquirer Processing Site Reliability Engineering Team in an agile environment. You will work with colleagues, who will support and challenge you daily.

We expect our Senior Staff Engineers to:

  • Plan and coordinate marquee client events in APAC (dashboards/monitoring/reports – define, design, execute) to ensure seamless usage of CyberSource products by clients
  • Lead investigations and solutions for marquee clients, thus ensuring successful usage of CyberSource products
  • Lead engineers on the investigation track for client issues reported by CS
  • Provide thought leadership to make the function more efficient
  • Front-end any production issues from CyberSource, ensuring timely escalation and smooth reporting
  • Lead and provide technical mentoring to a team of talented engineers.
  • Lead meetings and discussions with non-technical teams.
  • Provide excellent leadership, have great interpersonal skills and be team players.
  • Front-end any Production Release from Release Monitoring perspective and make sure no impacts are caused in PROD.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Bachelors/Masters degree or equivalent with at least 12+ years in Software Development or Test Engineering, with hands-on experience in at least one technology stack, preferably Java and other related technologies.
• Experience in commercial software development on Unix/Linux environment.
• 5+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Professional work experience in highly scalable web services. Exposure to containerized micro-services architecture and stacks is a big plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and implementing major components for large projects.
• Hands-on understanding of architecture and operations of highly available and scalable web services
• Experience working with Agile teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk/Keynote/Graphana is a plus.
• Experience working in past-paced 24*7 environments is key to this role.
