OverviewAs an OverseasCounselor you will play a crucial role in providing guidance andsupport to individuals and groups seeking to study work or liveabroad. You will be responsible for advising clients on the variousaspects of international travel including visa requirementscultural adjustments and educational opportunities. Your role willinvolve extensive communication coordination and problemsolvingskills as you assist clients in navigating the complexities ofliving and studying in a foreign country. This position isessential in ensuring that individuals have a positive overseasexperience and can adapt to new environmentssuccessfully.Keyresponsibilities
  • Providecomprehensive counseling to clients regarding overseas study workor immigration opportunities
  • Assist clients inselecting suitable academic or professional programsabroad
  • Coordinate visa application processesand provide guidance on legalrequirements
  • Offer support in culturaladaptation and integration into foreigncommunities
  • Address client concerns and issuesrelated to living and studying abroad
  • Organizeand conduct informational seminars and workshops on internationaltravel and living abroad
  • Collaborate witheducational institutions and immigration authorities to stayupdated on relevant policies andprocedures
  • Assess client eligibility forvarious overseas programs andopportunities
  • Monitor and address clientsemotional psychological and social wellbeing whileabroad
  • Develop customized plans to meetindividual client needs and goals
  • Manage crisesand emergencies faced by clients during their timeabroad
  • Maintain accurate and confidentialclient records and documentation
  • Provideguidance on international job search strategies and employmentprospects
  • Stay informed about global politicalsocial and economic developments that may impact overseastravel
  • Handle administrative tasks such asscheduling appointments managing paperwork and processingapplications
Requiredqualifications
  • Bachelors degree inInternational Relations Counseling Education or relatedfield
  • Proven experience in counseling advisingor guiding individuals from diverse culturalbackgrounds
  • Strong understanding of visaregulations immigration laws and international educationsystems
  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills
  • Fluency in at least oneforeign language relevant to popular overseasdestinations
  • Good understanding of mentalhealth and wellbeing issues faced by individuals in foreignenvironments
  • Ability to manage highstresssituations and provide effective crisisintervention
  • Interpersonal skills and culturalsensitivity to effectively interact with clients from variousbackgrounds
  • Knowledge of foreign exchangeprograms study abroad opportunities and work permitregulations
  • Detailoriented with strongorganizational and administrativeabilities
  • Proficiency in using relevantcounseling and educational software
  • Willingnessto travel and work flexible hours to accommodate clientneeds
  • Certification in counseling or relevantprofessional development courses is aplus
  • Experience studying working or livingabroad is desirable
  • Understanding ofinternational travel insurance and healthcare provisions isbeneficial
