OverviewThe CustomClearance Executive plays a crucial role in facilitating the smoothand efficient movement of goods across international borders. Theyare responsible for ensuring compliance with customs regulationsand documentation requirements thereby minimizing delays andensuring timely delivery of goods to their intendeddestinations.KeyResponsibilities
  • Coordinate andmanage customs clearance processes for import and exportshipments.
  • Ensure compliance with customsregulations and documentationrequirements.
  • Prepare and submit customsclearance documents accurately andtimely.
  • Communicate with customs authoritiesshipping companies and other relevant parties to resolve anyclearance issues.
  • Classify goods according tocustoms tariff coding and ensure accurate duty and taxcalculations.
  • Handle customs audits andinspections efficiently.
  • Provide guidance andsupport to internal teams on customs compliancematters.
  • Stay updated on changes in customsregulations and trade policies.
  • Resolve anydiscrepancies or disputes related to customsclearance.
  • Maintain accurate records anddocumentation related to customs clearanceprocesses.
  • Collaborate with logistics providersto optimize clearance processes and reduce leadtimes.
  • Participate in continuous improvementinitiatives to enhance customs clearance efficiency andeffectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with allrelevant laws regulations and companypolicies.
  • Contribute to the development andimplementation of customs clearance best practices andprocedures.
RequiredQualifications
  • Bachelors degree inInternational Business Logistics Supply Chain Management or arelated field.
  • Proven experience in customsclearance import/export operations or relatedfields.
  • Sound knowledge of customs regulationstrade compliance and documentationrequirements.
  • Proficiency in using customsclearance software and related tools.
  • Strongattention to detail and accuracy in document preparation andsubmission.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
  • Ability to workeffectively in a fastpaced and dynamicenvironment.
  • Problemsolving skills and theability to handle clearance issuesefficiently.
  • Familiarity with internationalshipping terms INCO terms andINCUOTERMS.
  • Ability to multitask prioritize andmanage time effectively.
  • Understanding ofcustoms valuation tariff classification and dutyoptimization.
  • Familiarity with customsclearance documentation such as commercial invoices packing listsand bills of lading.
  • Strong teamwork andcollaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Officeapplications especially Excel andWord.
  • Professional certification in customsbrokerage or trade compliance is aplus.
