About the Team

The Websites Team is dedicated to bringing the best experience to our users both external and internal. The team’s primary responsibility is to make sure everybody knows about and take the trading opportunities provided by IG. We realize this mission by developing a CMS system on which all of IG’s websites are built. We work with and support multiple stakeholders specializing in different aspects of the site. The team is based in London, Kraków and Bengaluru.

What you’ll do
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader who’s used to working with web technologies. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing world-class digital experience solutions for our clients. To the team of developers you will provide technical leadership and guidance as well as mentoring and care about their developemont opportunities.

You will collaborate closely with a product manager and stakeholders to understand their needs and problems and provide innovative solutions using Adobe Experience Manager. 

Furthermore, in a fast-paced development environment, you will engage with agile method, adaptive frameworks, and the development strategies to fulfil deadlines and be keen to follow best practices and suggest areas for improvement.

Oversee the end-to-end implementation of AEM projects, ensuring high-quality delivery, adherence to best coding practices, and on-time project completion. 

Working closely with our Product Manager to provide estimation for new business requests. 

You will have line management responsibilities that include hiring, mentoring, and supporting the team 

Lead the development and customization of AEM components, templates, workflows, and integrations, leveraging your strong technical expertise in Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, SEO, editors, UX designers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure smooth project execution.

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, technical issues, and defects in AEM implementations and optimise AEM solutions.

Proactively maintain the highest level of technical expertise by knowing the latest Adobe DX technologies and solutions through internally and externally available learning opportunities.

Conduct code reviews, employ strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse.

Together with a Ways of Working coach finetune the development processes.

What you will need for the role

+ years of experience working in a client-facing development team with strong experience in implementing Content Management Solutions. 

Strong experience as a Lead developer or Consultant in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) implementations or other Content Management systems.

Extensive hands-on experience in Java development, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 

Experience in integrating Content Management System with other systems, such as CRM, DAM, and eCommerce platforms. 

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customer centricity, and ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members. 

Adobe certifications in AEM or related technologies are highly desirable but not essential. 

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

Strategic ability to define technical direction in the portfolio of products including technical strategies and plans and execution plans.
